Active Card Terms & Conditions
- These terms and conditions, in conjunction with the privacy policy, are applicable to the entire Active Card scheme and any participation is considered as acceptance
- Only one Active Card will be issued per person. Members must register their personal details and keep FREEDOM LEISURE informed of any changes. FREEDOM LEISURE reserves the right to refuse or close additional accounts at any time
- The Active Card and points are issued by and remain the property of FREEDOM LEISURE which may, at any time, terminate the scheme or alter or amend the conditions of operation of the scheme. FREEDOM LEISURE will make every effort to inform cardholders of any change prior to its implementation
- FREEDOM LEISURE reserves the right to alter the number of metre points awarded per pound spend for purchases/payments and points will vary depending on the products bought and the amount spent. FREEDOM LEISURE will make every effort to inform cardholders of any change prior to its implementation
- Cardholders can only collect and redeem points for certain activities. For a full list of activities that accrue Metre Points please visit the Active Card website www.active-card.co.uk
- Metre points will not be awarded unless the card is presented at the time of a cash purchase/payment
- Information contained on the Active Card website (www.active-card.co.uk) is current at the time of publication however; it is subject to alteration at any time. FREEDOM LEISURE will make every effort to inform cardholders of any change prior to its implementation
- Metre points can only be awarded and/or redeemed at Guildford Spectrum, Guildford Lido & Ash Manor Sports Centre and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer unless specified
- Metre points on an Active Card or any associated discounts offered to cardholders including but not exclusive to catering products can only be redeemed by the holder of the Active Card and FREEDOM LEISURE reserves the right to withdraw an Active Card and its metre points at its absolute discretion and/or where there is reasonable belief of any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme
- Metre points will not be given for group/school bookings including leagues or bookings including or on behalf of others e.g. 5-a-side bookings
- FREEDOM LEISURE accepts no responsibility for the loss of metre points held on an Active Card due to circumstances beyond their control
- The Active Card and any metre points stored on the card are not transferable and must be used only by the cardholder. Points cannot be transferred to other Active Cards nor bought, sold or in any way traded. Metre points can be transferred between a child and their parent/guardian’s Active Card
- FREEDOM LEISURE may decline to issue, withdraw or cancel an Active Card and points and remove a member from the scheme at any time at its absolute discretion and/or where there is reasonable belief of:
- A: any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme;
- B: any breach or attempted breach of these terms and conditions of the scheme;
- C: any behaviour relating to Active Card or FREEDOM LEISURE that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour, or supplying false or misleading information
- The range and type of promotion may be withdrawn at any time. FREEDOM LEISURE will make every effort to inform cardholders of any change prior to implementation
- The redemption value of activities may vary throughout the year depending on demand and ongoing promotions. As a general rule redemptions will equate to a discount of 5% or more
- Concessionary Active Cards are valid for 1 year (except senior citizens) from the date of issue and must be renewed on an annual basis at no cost. Proof of concessionary status must be provided at the time of the application
- An Active Card will automatically expire if no metre points have been added or redeemed in any 12 month period and all metre points will be forfeited. Cardholders will need to reapply for a new Active Card should they wish to rejoin
- Active Card holders must check the correct number of metre points have been added to their cards at the reception desk as no corrections can be made after the customer has left reception
- FREEDOM LEISURE is entitled to remove metre points at any time if a full or partial refund of the purchase price is given. This also applies to the exchange of products, unless the exchange is for products with an equivalent points value.
- A resident Active Card will be issued only on sight of proof of address and identity
- Metre points awarded cannot be redeemed for that purchase and can only be used for an additional future transaction
- A maximum of 2 birthday parties can be redeemed in any 12 month period per cardholder
Lost, stolen or damaged cards
- Active Cards remain the responsibility of the registered cardholder, as do any security details relating to the account. FREEDOM LEISURE cannot be held responsible for any loss arising from the cardholder failing to ensure the safe-keeping of these items
- Lost stolen or damaged cards should be reported immediately to FREEDOM LEISURE. All replacement cards will be issued at a cost of £2.00. All metre points will be reinstated on to the new Active Card
Change of address
- Cardholders must notify FREEDOM LEISURE immediately of any change of address or when they move out of the borough boundaries
